Need immediate energy assistance for family of 5. I am a married and employed mother of 3. My husband was injured a few months ago and is not up to regular duty work so he has been laid off. We survive off a $10.60/hour job. We have been struggling every month to pay bills, juggling everything so we can get some paid.
Today our electricity was shut off and they demand a $400 minimum payment they say. We have electric everything... heat, stove, dryer, etc. Right now we are forced to use candlelight and flashlights. We will eat what's in the fridge tonight but it will be a cold one and no hot water for a bath or shower.
